Step by step
- Open a still wallpaper in SnuggleScreen and tap Download. Premium designs require access; our test used the free Cozy Golden Puppy design. Wait for the download to finish.
- Open Settings → Wallpaper, then tap Add New Wallpaper. You can also search for Wallpaper inside Settings.
- Tap Photos. If the picker opens on Featured, switch to All. In our test, the newly downloaded puppy appeared there, not among the Featured suggestions.
- Select the saved image and review the Lock Screen preview. Check where the animal’s face sits relative to the clock and widget area before accepting the crop.
- Tap Add at the top, then Set as Wallpaper Pair. This creates a new pair; you can customize the Home Screen separately afterward.
- Check the resulting Lock Screen and Home Screen. If the Home Screen is blurred, use its Customize control in Settings → Wallpaper to change that appearance.
What we actually tested
On October 9, 2026, we downloaded Cozy Golden Puppy in SnuggleScreen 2.3 (build 16), selected it through Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper → Photos → All, and saved a new pair on a physical iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 27.0. We verified the applied puppy Lock Screen, then tested Home Screen customization. Other iPhone and iOS combinations were not tested in this check.
If the saved image is missing
First check All rather than Featured in the Photos picker. Confirm that the download completed in the app. A premium-access screen is not a successful download; choose a free design or use your existing premium access. Don’t save the website preview as a substitute for the app’s full-quality image.
Still images and Live Photos are different
This guide tests a still wallpaper only. Saving an image from a web page does not preserve Live Photo motion. Live wallpaper setup and playback need their own compatibility check; we have not included an untested animation procedure here.
Reference and next steps
